This project proposes a visual identity for Bergamo (IT) as European Capital of Culture 2033, inspired by the city’s most iconic historic element: the Venetian Walls. The walls are used as a central metaphor — both as a historical structure and as a symbol of protection, transition, and cultural exchange. This entire branding is built out of the shapes of the actual stones of said wall. These stone forms are abstracted and systematized to create a flexible visual language that runs consistently across the identity. Their irregularity becomes a strength: each shape is unique, yet together they form a coherent structure — mirroring both the physical wall and the cultural fabric of Bergamo.
